Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable filler used to smooth wrinkles, restore facial volume, and contour the face. This revolutionary injectable contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, the PLLA works to stimulate natural collagen production to strengthen skin structure and firmness and restore age-related volume loss.

How is Sculptra different than other dermal fillers?

The science behind Sculptra is unique. Most dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid-based, in different gel thicknesses used to fill various facial areas. Scuptra works differently, as rather than just adding volume, it is injected deeper into the skin layers and the tiny PLLA spheres go to work.

While you need to have some patience to see the results of your injections, the smoothing effect is extremely natural in appearance, as it is created by your natural collagen. While dermal fillers fade within several months for most products, the results of Sculptra injections last up to two years or longer.

How do Sculptra treatments work?

By injecting Sculptra into the skin, it gradually works by stimulating natural collagen production. As collagen production increases, the fresh, firm look of your skin is restored, and facial wrinkles and folds are smoothed. The PLLA in Sculptra is a biocompatible synthetic substance, safe and effective for skin regeneration.

How many Sculptra treatments are required?

For optimal results, you will need three Sculptra treatment sessions spread out over a few months. Since Sculptra works gradually, the time between injection sessions gives your Sculptra injections enough time to begin working. Dr. Leeman can use the progress from each treatment to fine-tune the results of each Sculptra treatment session, ensuring you achieve a fresh, natural-looking appearance.

What kind of results can I expect from Sculptra treatments?

Sculptra is a gradual treatment that will not leave you looking as if you have had work done. Sculptra creates long-term results that last up to two years, or longer.
