What is Microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?
This therapy is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment with quick recovery time, and is designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production. The treatment actually involves the use of two procedures, Microneedling, and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) done consecutively. What area can be treated?
Microneedling is ideal for any part of the face, neck, and décolleté as well as any scarring, stretch marks, pigmentation marks from acne or sun damage, or to just improve the overall texture of the area being treated.
Areas for Microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
Microneedling with PRP is applicable to the same areas as if you were treating someone with Microneedling which includes the face, neck, and the décolleté. With PRP involved it can also be used on the scalp to help restore hair growth and stimulate the hair follicle. This option is for males or female’s suffering from hair loss.
How long is the treatment?
Treatment time varies on which areas you want to be treated. Typically, treatments should take between 30 minutes to an hour. We believe in giving our patients the best treatment possible and for them to feel comfortable during the treatment process.
How many treatments will you need?
Most patients see a difference after one treatment. However, you may need three to six treatments on the area depending on what you’re trying to correct. After every treatment, you will see a difference in the texture of the skin as well as the appearance of the skin.
When do you start to see results?
Every patient is different in regards to their result process. Typically, on the third treatment, you start noticing the texture of your skin improving, as well as decreased scarring and pigmentation caused by the acne and sun damage. You will start to notice hair growth in 4 to 8 months after the PRP hair growth procedure.
What should I expect after treatment?
Immediately after treatment, you will experience effects similar to a mild sunburn; typically minimal redness, tenderness, and minimal swelling. Despite that, there is no significant downtime after this procedure.
