Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Alexa Jazmin, PA-C, is pleased to serve the ENT needs of the Austin and Georgetown communities. Mrs. Jazmin completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2018 at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, graduating cum laude. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department, where her special interests in cardiology, diabetology, and preventative medicine began. Before applying to physician assistant (PA) school, Mrs. Jazmin was introduced to the ENT specialty while shadowing a PA mentor at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio. She was drawn to the field because of the diversity of head and neck problems and the ability of PAs to perform in-office procedures to aid in solving them. Having personally struggled with allergic rhinitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) throughout her youth, she was especially interested in helping patients with these issues.
Mrs. Jazmin went on to attend PA school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. She received specialized training in the internal medicine subspecialties of allergy and immunology, cardiology, and nephrology. She graduated cum laude with her Master of Medical Science degree in 2023. She was inducted into the National Pi Alpha Honor Society for Physician Assistants for her leadership, academic achievement, and community/professional service as a PA student.
As a PA part of Dr. Daniel J. Leeman’s clinical and surgical team, Mrs. Jazmin is passionate about providing comprehensive patient care. She believes in patient education, preventative medicine, and a welcoming environment to improve health outcomes for a diverse population. As a PA, she can examine, perform procedures, diagnose, and treat many ailments you may suffer.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Jazmin enjoys being active with yoga, pickleball, and hiking. She is also an avid reader and loves to stay informed about the latest developments in healthcare and medicine.
